Astract Japan has launched a crowdfunding campaign for its new mini-mouse CapacMouse Pro (spotted by Tom’s Hardware). As of this writing, the campaign has already reached its funding goal several times over.
The CapacMouse Pro is the size of a car remote and can fit on a keychain to be carried around in your pocket. Yet it’s still equipped with two main buttons, two side buttons, and two scroll buttons. The mouse’s DPI and scroll sensitivity can be changed using certain button combinations (with DPI options from 1000, 1600, 2400, and 4000).
Furthermore, the top scroll button of the diminutive mouse is sensitive to both pressure and touch, allowing you to perform different actions with the same button depending on pressure and direction. The CapacMouse Pro weighs a total of 30 grams and can be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz.
The recommended retail price is 7,680 yen (about $50 USD), but the crowdfunding campaign is offering an early bird special price of 5,370 yen (about $35 USD). The CapacMouse Pro is scheduled to ship to backers by end of May 2025.
