Razer appears to have removed the ability for U.S. consumers to directly purchase its gaming laptops, with the Blade gaming laptops now gone from its website. Razer’s move comes as the Trump administration raises tariffs on Chinese goods to over 100 percent.
At press time, the “gaming laptops” section of Razer.com only allows consumers to buy skins, not the laptops themselves. Those laptops used to include the Razer Blade 14, the Razer Blade 16, and the Razer Blade 18. Those listings have now been removed, according to web pages viewable by PCWorld.com as well as The Verge.
Razer isn’t selling the Razer Edge on its website, either; just skins. Razer appears to still be selling its PC and console peripherals on the site, however. Company representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
Pausing sales, however, may be a tactic allowing Razer and other manufacturers to devise a strategy to respond to the Trump administration’s latest tariffs. In a Monday post on Truth Social, the President threatened an additional 50 percent tariff on goods imported from China in response to a retaliatory tariff from the Chinese government.

In a statement Tuesday, President Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed that the additional tariff would take effect on Tuesday night, reaching a whopping 104 percent.
“When America is punched, he punches back harder,” Leavitt said. “That’s why there will be 104 percent tariffs going into effect on China tonight at midnight.”
Framework has paused sales of some of its laptops in response to the tariffs, and Micron has reportedly warned of tariff price hikes as well.
