I’m excited to reach out today to announce MintForUkraine, a project that I've been working on for the past few months with a stellar team of volunteers in the US and Ukraine to raise money for Ukraine through an unprecedented collection of one million artworks combining artificial intelligence with Ukrainian art, literature, poetry, and folklore in partnership with the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) Charitable Foundation, the Ukrainian Ministries of Digital Transformation, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Arts, and Health, and Polygon Studios.
Starting today, we’re issuing a global challenge to mint all million of these pieces onto the Polygon blockchain, creating an immutable monument to the Ukrainian people and the power of technology to create peace – and to raise funds for humanitarian relief on the ground in Ukraine.
It’s really easy to get involved, find and mint your favorite artwork ( or ten…) for free, and make a donation to support Ukrainians on the ground, even if you’ve never used crypto before! Here’s how:
🎨 Visit mintforukraine.org, and find an artwork that speaks to you 🔐 Click “mint for free” and choose “create a wallet for me” if you’ve never used crypto before. If you’re a crypto veteran, you can mint with any existing Ethereum-compatible wallet. ✍️If we created a wallet for you, write down your “seed phrase” to ensure you can access your NFT in the future. 💰Include an optional donation to the KSE Charitable Foundation (more on our use of funds at mintforukraine.org/funds) via credit card or crypto 💌 Add an optional note to the Ukrainian people to be recorded on the blockchain 📲 Download your art and share it on social media 💸 If you decide to sell your NFT in the future on OpenSea, a 100% royalty will go back to the KSE Charitable Foundation due to our first-of-its-kind “Sell it Forward” partnership.
