Yesterday, xAI launched the new Grok-3 AI model and locked it behind a paywall, making it only available to Premium+ subscribers on Elon Musk’s social media platform X and those who hop on the newly available SuperGrok subscription tier.
According to Neowin, X has updated the price for Premium+ following the release of Grok-3. The monthly cost of Premium+ for X has roughly doubled, up from $22/month to $40/month.
What’s interesting is that Premium+ doesn’t even grant full access to all the AI features in Grok, yet the company is using it to justify the price bump. For all the features, you’ll need to switch to the SuperGrok tier when it releases, which will either cost $40/month or $50/month.
This is the second time that X has increased the price of its subscriptions in such a short time. The last price bump was on December 21, 2024.
