This free time-zone conversion tool blows other clock apps out of the water

You’d think by this point in our lives, we’d have the whole time-zone-conversion thing figured out. It isn’t all that complicated, right?!

And yet—well, trying to keep such calculations straight often feels like performing advanced algebra. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve tried to convert something from my own local time into another time and ended up screwing it up somehow (and I’m only moderately pea-brained, thankyouverymuch).

Today, I want to show you a deceptively simple tool that’ll save you from ever making such a silly misstep again. I probably lean it at least once a day, on average. And it’s saved my hide more times than I’d care to admit.

Psst: If you love these types of tools as much as I do, check out my free Cool Tools newsletter from The Intelligence. You’ll be the first to find all sorts of simple tech treasures!

Meet your new time-zone conversion wizard

Whether you’re messaging with someone in another part of the world, scheduling an email for a colleague or companion across the country, or working with a wonky web interface that insists on using some nonlocalized time as its default, you’re bound to run into some tricky time-zone transformations sooner or later.

➜ And with the aptly named Dateful site in your pocket, you’ll never risk screwing such conversions up—or even just wasting the time to think through ’em on your own.

⌚ Best of all, this thing couldn’t be much easier to use. It’ll take you about 10 seconds to perform most calculations, and it won’t cost you a single dime to do.

  • Just open up Dateful.com in any browser, on whatever device you’ve got in front of ya.
  • Click the “Time Zone Converter” link at the top of the page. (You can also save this link to skip the main menu and go directly to that tool, if you want.)
  • Use the boxes on the screen to set the time zones you want. You can keep one of ’em as your current local time or set ’em both to specific static values, and you can then change the time on either side for an instant and effortless conversion.
Dateful gives you any time zone conversion in an instant—without all the usual headaches.

It’s simple, minimal, fast, and effective. But Dateful has a bunch of extra tricks up its sleeves beyond those basics, too:

You can schedule across multiple time zones in a more visual view, too.

‘Bout time for a fuss-free way to do this sort of stuff, wouldn’t ya say?!

  • Dateful works entirely in your browser, no matter what browser or device you’re using.
  • It’s completely free and supported by a small number of minimal ads.
  • And it doesn’t require any sign-ins or collect any manner of personal info.
