I paired a cheap $125 PSU with a $3,000 RTX 5090 — nothing melted, even when pulling 1044 watts

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 has high power requirements to go with its chart-topping performance. That usually means putting a pricey PSU on your parts list, but sometimes you just need to save some cash. I paired a 5090 with Montech's $125 Century II 1200W PSU to see if I could get away with it.
