Summary of James Gordon & Rebecca Doll's Mastering Erotic Hypnosis

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview: #1 The classic 19th century experiments conducted by Jules Liégeois of the Nancy school of hypnosis were criticized and repeated by Gilles de la Tourette, who gave a patient a ruler and told her it was a gun. #2 The Paris School believed that hypnotized subjects could be made to commit crimes while hypnotized, while the Nancy School believed that such an occurrence might be possible. #3 The idea that people can’t be made to do anything against their will while hypnotized is false. They can be made to do things that are against their will, but not things that are against the law. #4 The CIA conducted a human experimentation program called MKUltra from 1953 to 1973, which involved the use of hypnosis and other forms of torture. The program was not focused on mind control, but on developing irresistible interrogation techniques.
