Nio announced 1Q deliveries on Saturday 1st April. It was not great but at least fell within their predictions. Nio is trading both in HK (under symbol 9866) and Singapore.
Investors had two days to digest the news and future prospects of the company (as CNBC articles write in similar situations) and the ones trading Asia market thought those numbers are very positive so price rose around 2%.
US market opened few hours later and investors (or traders) thought the delivery numbers are terrible and stock is currently falling 7%.
Tomorrow when Asian markets open the stock price will follow with a 7% drop on opening.
Are the investors in Asia so ignorant despite having a strategic advantage or being 1 day ahead, that cannot determine if a company announcement is good or bad, or there is another reason for this divergence?
