I’m 100% SPY in my Roth IRA and taxable account
I have minimal investment knowledge (obviously) lol and as someone who is in their 20’s, I know I have decades ahead of me. I want to just buy and hold, that’s it, pure boglehead style.
I liked the low ER of SPY and though it’s different than VT, I thought SPY was “good enough” for my long term goal.
Then way after I was already buying and holding SPY, I found out about VOO. Basically the same thing as SPY, except VOO is 0.03 while SPY is 0.09
Is this something to worry about?
How big of a headache would it be to fix or should I just proceed with SPY and call it good? Apparently even though I know nothing it’s still a fantastic plan compared to individual stock picking and all those crazy people on Wall Street bets?
I first started buying SPY when it was much higher than it is now of course, however thanks to DCA’ing on the way down my average purchase price has been getting lower and lower lol. Bring on the crash! If there is one. I want to buy and DCA while it goes down, not up. I’d rather have SPY at 350 compared to 450 so I can keep buying low
Then as far as cashing it out etc, idk, I’m saving that for a while from now to figure out. As far as maybe eventually looking into it all more when I’m like 50, should definitely be options out there with hopefully several hundred thousand worth of SPY shares
