Looking for someone/a couple people to team up with.
I'm working in fixed income derivatives on the pricing side for a european bank. Studying data science. Fluent in C++ and python combined with decent stats/probability theory. Currently working on a statistical arbitrage strategy using the OU Process combined with markov regime switching models. I have implemented MM bots in the past, but could not deploy them due to my missing FPGA which I'm also somehow not allowed to plug into the New Jersey exchange server :D
After trying do develop my own strategies and models for a long time, I've come to the conclusion that I have to try this approach professionally and full time. I have set myself the goal to spend a full year working on algorithmic trading strategies full time - maybe even in a country like Colombia to not have such a high cash drain. The main reason for that is that I'm significantly less efficient while working 45+ hours per week and not being able to focus purely on alpha generation/other work associated with coming up with actual strategies.
When developing strategies, there is still a missing piece, it's the possibility to bounce ideas off a partner, share some of the workload, guide each other in the right direction - which is why I'm looking for someone or a couple people who might want to join in. I know it's a long shot but why not try it.
If you are experienced in a programming language, financial markets or math/stats/ML, please shoot me a DM and maybe we can work together.
