I got into the meme stocks like everyone did back in 2021 summer. I was following a high profile scam artist discord Chad (Atlas trading) who is now being investigated by the SEC for pump and dump schemes. Just some incredible stupid/shady stuff. But everyone was making money in GME so I thought to jump in.
I started loading up shared and ended up wtih around 6.5 K in value when CLOV was at 6.50 a share. (Down 35% or so). I kept telling myself that it had to go back up.
Somehow CLOV did take off and in a week it climbed to 22+ dollars a share. I set my stop loss at 22 and profited 12k in the trade.
After that I tried to recreate the magic in WISH and lost 5K.
I then said “fuck this” and have been in lost cost indexes since then. (Mostly VTI and QQQ).
CLOV now trades under 1 dollar a share.
It’s unbelievable how lucky I got on the CLOV trade. Such stupid, blind luck.
I can’t imagine how many traders are down a crazy amount of money from following those Atlas fucks.
TLDR: I am very lucky. Made money from a stupid trade. Atlas trading are criminals.
