Your friends Tom & John (stock market) tell you if you lend them 10 of your car toys, they might or might not give you 1 or 2 extra cars back next year but they might also break a few & don't even give you your 10 cars back!
Your daddy (Treasury Bills) on the other hand, promises you if you give him your 10 cars, he will keep them for you & 100% buy you 1 new toy car by the end of the year so you will have 11.
You know your friends can be as*holes & your dad has never broken his promise, who would you give your cars to?
