I'm very new to the idea of stock trading, but I keep coming back to the thought of wanting to learn, and to then give it a shot.
Going through this sub, makes me feel like there's much more to learn than I initially imagined. I would still like to learn though, but have no idea where, or how to "start small".
So how do I go about this?
Any resources that can teach me very simplified (like I'm 5), would be much apprec

I just sold my position for a loss, then rebought both this morning. The intent was to claim a loss for tax purposes. However I became aware of the wash-sale rule. Will the loss still qualify if I sell my position again and wait the 30 days?
Also can I use that money in the meantime to invest elsewhere?

Long term holder of MSFT here. To be fair I think MSFT is making a good move getting out in front of this trend and getting a big foothold in the industry. However cool the tech is I find it very hard to believe the stock run up is warranted to this level based on what I saw at build. Couple of points I think "bear" considering.

My employer recently sent a reminder for employees to avoid conducting any insider trading, but didn't offer much insight or guidance on how to determine if you are aware of anything that may count towards insider knowledge. Before I began with this company I was purchasing a lot of one certain already popular stock and I was planning to continue to do so, with a large sum purchase ready to go any week now. It just so happens we are clients to this company.
