WWE/UFC merger question

Does anyone know if I buy stock in WWE will it transfer to the new company, New Whale. Or will I have to wait for New Whale to start trading on the exchange? I know it depends on the merger terms, but has there been any news or is there any convention for how mergers like this usually go?

What are some good sources for getting stocks historical data?

I have mostly been using Yahoo Finance to get historical data to run my algorithm. However, I find it to be quite unreliable as there will sometimes be missing figures from the dataset (especially VIX). Does anyone know a better source for getting historical dataset? Thanks in advance.

Can We Talk About Nu Holdings?

I know nothing about this company, beyond the fact that it is a digital banking platform, that's based in Brazil, and the fact that a couple of years ago, Warren Buffett bought 107 Million shares of it in 2021. It's up 60% in the last year, and it's revenue grew over 130%. I'd hesitate to say it, but is it a poor idea to invest based off the fact that Buffett believes in it?

Long shot picks

Hi all, I’m looking to allocate about 1-5% of portfolio to “riskier” plays with lots of upside potential. The other 95% is in VTI, but the idea of getting a 20 bagger is too fun to pass up.

Current speculative plays include VKTX (early trials of weight loss drug to rival LLY and NVO), RKLB, PLTR, and ASTS.

Thanks!

Bad with money.

Hello 26 (m) here who is bad with money. I am interested in starting the same growth I've seen on many post in this thread, but I have no idea where to start. What would some recommendations be to get my feet off the ground? I am open to here about what I can do myself or if it is possible have someone else handle my money for me if that is a thing. I will also note that the only experience I have with stocks is just playing around on Robinhood.

What is going on with under armor? The stock has been trending down for a while even with positive earnings.

I’m wondering if i should continue to average down or cut my losses and sell the small position I have in it. I’m leaning towards average down coke market open on Tuesday since that will bring me to around $10 a share average. I am holding this for the long term so I’m not looking for a quick exit. But am I missing something here? Is the company done for?

Not all "tech" companies deserve to have tech valuations

I often hear a lot about how this & that company are the next Amazon so the PE ratio does not apply to them.

There's a simple question that can tell you whether a company can have tech PEs: do they have unique products that enable them to grow their profit exponentially while keeping their costs linear? If the answer is no, they are just waiting for a correction. Even Amazon's valuation is mostly due to AWS & not their retail side.

What are the best stocks that have less market cap than the 184B that NVDA jumped in one day?

That 184B market cap is the largest ever added to a stock in one trading day. I was inspired by the source of that news

Source

Where NVDA move was compared to the market caps of ADBE, NKE, DIS, NFLX, WFC, and MS. All had less market cap at the time of the NVDA move. And wondered what other companies would people like that were worth less than 184B market cap. M

Comparing Portfolio Returns

Hi all!

I am wondering what the recommended process of comparing investment strategies may be. I have done some research into GIPS but I thought i would see what you all had to say. Specifically I am thinking if I had strategy A in account A, strategy B account B, etc so I can easily compare the two, in a presentable manner for others to easily compare.

I also wonder what impact the different investment goals may have on this comparison, and consid

Should I sell NVDA?

I have about 1000 NVDA. From vested RSU.

Should I sell some of them? If yes, how many?

Or do we think NVDA is going to increase significantly more in 5-10 years?

The rationale for selling would be to lock in the profits and invest in other stocks that might have higher chance of going up where NVDA might not have enough growth left in it in mid term.

What’s a good strategy?

Thanks!
