Last weekI asked to you all to give me a stock and its main competitor, so I can do an in deep stock analysis on them and here I am! Keep in mind that what you are going to read is just a small pice of a 30 page thesis and analysis on the company, I also made a financial model too
I currently have a years worth of expenses for my emergency fund, have maxed out my Roth IRA contribution this year and am putting 50% of paycheck into 401k until I hit my company s match limit then I will contribute to a Roth instead of 401k.
I am concerned that I might lose my job in the next year or two. Would putting 50% of paycheck affect my unemployment if I were to be laid off?
Its really funny to me the way these stocks move. I keep seeing this pattern, where a big company's share price is going down, stays down for a while, and then after a month or two, for no reason people decide today is the day we need to make this stock rip when nothing really changed from a month or two ago. And off it goes.
Its like we collectively come together and decide "you know today is the day google should start ripping"

My parents passed away and we are cleaning out the house. Found two certs from 1997 for shares in Olympus Ventures, Inc in Washington state. Looks like they still exist. Whom should I speak with to find out if these are worth anything? Not sure how to get started.

Do i spend it on one ETF one month and on another the next so i keep my transaction costs down, or do I spread the amount over my whole portfolio?
Regularly updating my portfolio is new to me so any other tips are welcome too.

Why does Volvo have 2 separate tickers? How can I find more info regarding the tickers?
