If you had full capability to “look under the hood” of a single company, which would it be?

You can go to the headquarters. Talk with the CEO and employees. Look at whatever is on offer to help you decide to invest (assembly line, computer code, etc.) Which company would you choose and why? What would lead you to make a big investment?

I really like netflix as a company

I believe netflix is only heading up.

Netflix has proven time and time again that they can push out fantastic and will produce shows and movies. They know how valuable their company is, and they know that they can push ads to increase revenue because people still watch. They’ve pushed out some amazing shows and movies, and they always find a way to make a better one. Somehow I know people love Netflix.

Out of country purchase of American stocks

My aunt lives in Jamaica and would love to purchase and hold stocks just like the rest of us. Is there an app or a way she can purchase regular shares? Or would I have to open an account here in US on her behalf?

Taxes withheld on RSU grants?

Per my employee contract I recently received some RSU grants. They were pushed into my brokerage with what looks like a 30% cut for taxes (70% of shares listed, sold to cover)

I assume this is a figure based on my estimated income but I don't see what I do about it if that figure is wrong. (my division was just laid off)

Wash sale and deferred capital loss

Say someone has a bunch of wash sales in 2022.

They were not able to take advantage of the capital loss in 2022. In order for them to take advantage of the capital loss in 2023, they need to make a capital gain (as long as they wait 31+ days to clear wash sales).

Question: how can they find out how much "stored loss" they have that can carry over into 2023?

ATVI Options Question

Microsoft is trying to buy Activision. If the deal is approved, they will be buying $ATVI at $95/share. If the deal does not get approved, $ATVI will more than likely drop to a lower price. My question is, why would anyone be buying Calls at the $95 strike price? The price cap for $ATVI is pretty much capped at $95 so it seems every Call bought at this price is guaranteed to expire worthless. Does anyone here know what might be going on? Thanks.

If the whole Economy goes close to a full blown depression, What stocks should I buy?

This is a hypothetical, but my friend who I trust said within the next year that the country would fall even further into this recessions, maybe even depression levels, now I know its bleak, but if it happened, what stocks would I look at, or would I jus buy gold and silver now.

Is 100% VT and chill a reasonable choice for a 40-year period? I'm 25 right now.

I'm aiming for a 7% nominal annual return and 4% real annual return (inflation adjusted basically) but obviously there's no way to guarantee that.

I only plan to add 20-40% bond allocation in a Total Bond ETF (BND) 20 years in (when I'm 45).
