Microsoft Teams now supports threaded conversations in channels, letting users reply directly to specific messages and keep related discussions organized without interrupting the main chat flow. Users can follow and unfollow threads they’re involved in, and a dedicated ‘Followed Threads’ view collates all their followed threads for easier tracking.
When creating a channel, users can choose between a ‘threads’ or ‘posts’ layout depending on the channel’s purpose, and they can switch layouts later without losing any information.
As a bonus, Teams now lets users react with multiple emojis per message, adding more flair to conversations.
These features are currently in public preview and are rolling out on both desktop and mobile apps.
