“What’s the difference between memory and storage?” It’s a computer question everybody asks at least once in their life. And if you’re the “computer person” in your family, maybe you’ve answered it a whole lot more. But with most standard computer storage shifting to ultra-fast SSDs so similar to flash memory that it’s kind of hard to tell them apart at a glance, the question is becoming a lot more relevant. On Tuesday morning, Nvidia quietly and surprisingly launched a new 12GB version of GeForce RTX 3080 that fixes our biggest (albeit minor) gripe with an otherwise stellar graphics card.
The 10GB of VRAM on the original RTX 3080 felt somewhat lacking right out of the gate, as games like Doom already chew up immense amounts of memory wit

You likely already know how important it is to maintain your security online. But if you are protecting your web accounts by using the same password you had five years ago, then you are just asking for trouble. The company is doing that with a revamped Windows laptop and a brand new convertible Chromebook design.

Raspberry Pi computers are great starts to electronics projects, but “start” is doing a lot of work in that compliment. Typically you need a few extras in order to really flesh it out. If you have a ton of desktop PC components sitting around, the new Axzez Interceptor carrier board might make the perfect companion to a tiny Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.
Plugging in a CM4 board to the Interceptor adds a ton of ports to the tiny machine: four RJ45 Ethernet ports, five standard
