Position Summary/Position
The Vice President, Hospital Relations:
2. Interface with the hospital executive leadership to drive performance improvement and compliance with IEHP requirements.
3. Ensure that all IEHP Hospitals and Ancillary Providers receive appropriate and timely in-services, in addition to support for navigating through IEHP programs and regulatory requirements, including APLs and DPLs.
4. Oversee, direct, and chair Hospital, Ancillary Provider, and SNF JOM activities.
5. In partnership with Finance, Compliance and other IEHP Departments, lead high stakes regulatory data and finance programs such as Hospital Directed Payment Program.
6. Represent IEHP in collaboration with state organizations such as CHA, HASC, CAPH, CAHP and LHPC to support IEHP Hospital initiatives and relationships.
7. Work closely with the IEHP Compliance and Legal Department to ensure Hospital, SNF, and Ancillary Provider compliance with regulatory agencies, IEHP Policies and Procedures, and IEHP legal requirements.
8. Partner with Chief Quality Officer to identify and strengthen strategic partnerships with Inland Empire Hospitals and Health Systems regarding their quality initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys including the development of hospital quality report cards.
9. Serve as communication liaison with senior leadership of Hospitals and Health Plan leadership. Effectively orchestrate conflict resolution/issues to build and maintain partnerships.
10. Drive departmental strategic planning in alignment with IEHP Strategic Priorities.
11. Provide best in class recommendations to hospital partners for performance improvement programs such as LeapFrog, HQI, IHI, and Lean. Supervisory Responsibilities Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance Reviews Experience Qualifications
Seven (7) years of senior leadership experience, with Managed Care, Hospital, or Healthcare Systems. Five (5) years of experience implementing and leading hospital process improvement and quality initiatives. Education Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field from an accredited institution required. Skills Requirement

The Vice President, Hospital Relations:
- Main conduit between IEHP and local hospitals’ executive leadership for performance improvement in treating IEHP Members; this includes providing vision and collaborative strategic direction to assure that IEHP’s expectations are achieved for quality of care, delivery of service and Member satisfaction.
- Goal: Hospital Care: IEHP Members will receive best practice hospital care and IEHP will demonstrably reduce disparities across all aspects of our membership.
- Strategy: Assist in the formation of a Provider Leadership Coalition to govern the improvement of hospital care outcomes through 2030, create a regional standard of baseline competency, and improve primary focus areas. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
