You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Provide Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic module(s)

  • Collaborate with end users to design, build and optimize the Epic system in a timely and high-quality manner. Ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and follow-up questions and/or workflows/configuration clarifications are completed

  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications

  • Contribute in Epic upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases; troubleshoot problems and questions from end users

  • Provide Technical / Clinical / Revenue cycle workflow consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers

  • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials

  • Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control

  • Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate

  • Determine staffing requirements and supervise the work of any direct reports to ensure effective and efficient group functioning

  • Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on call coverage as required

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Active Epic certifications in one or more Epic applications

  • Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges

  • Any combination of certifications and/or experience

  • Experience with Epic systems build, test, optimization, support and training with clinical and revenue workflows

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time e.g. Monday thru Thursday, depending on the role and project requirement; however, we are open to those who can telecommute or even relocate to the Nashville area too

  • Ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
