Unfortunately, we sadly announced the cancellation of SymfonyCon Disneyland Paris 2021. As we are really eager to meet with the wonderful Symfony community later this year again, we are thus very pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the SymfonyWorld online conference on December 9-10 2021, we'll celebrate the release of Symfony 6!
We really want to meet with the Symfony community in real life events but as the sanitary situation is still too uncertain, we decided to meet again online this year. We will be more than ready to meet you in real life next year for a fantastic international conference, hopefully!
Save the date now for SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition! Here is the event agenda:
Online 2-day pre-conference workshop days: December 7-8 Online 2-day conference days: December 9-10
Enjoy now the early bird registration until July 5th 2021. Save money, book your ticket at early bird price!
You're interested in speaking or giving a workshop at the conference? The Call for Papers and Call for Trainers are already open, until September 2nd 2021. Send in your talk or workshop proposals in English. All talks will be pre-recorded to enable a smooth conference experience. This will free you (and us) from the stress related to technical issues that can happen during a live. Because we strive for great accessibility, all talks will have subtitles. This means that even if the language of the conference is not your primary language, you can still share your knowledge with confidency: people will understand you no matter what. Since your talk will be pre-recorded, you will be available online to answer questions during or at the end of your talk in the chat! At Symfony Online conferences, you're part of the audience and that's key to a great speaker experience!
Talks should last for 30 minutes and are followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. For trainers, workshops won't be pre-recorded neither recorded.
If you never spoke at a conference before, the Diversity Initiative can help you with your talk. There is a #diversity Slack channel but also a #speaker-mentoring channel. If you need feedback from experienced speakers or other people just starting out their speaking career, come by and say “hi”. Mentors can help you with your talks and rehearsals. They will be happy to share their experiences and help you work on your slides.
Of course, being a speaker or a trainer at any Online Symfony conference means that you’ll receive a free ticket to attend the conference and a speaker package gift! We also provide the hardware for your online talk or workshop: we’ll send you a camera and a mic if yours are not good enough to record your talk or deliver your workshop!
Join us now at the upcoming SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Summer Edition on June 17-18 2021, check now the entire conference schedule, or at SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition on December 9-10 2021. Both conferences will be in English, book now your ticket!
See you soon online!
