[USA][Finance][15] Looking for Supply Chain Finance Startup co-founder.

I think I’ve identified a huge untapped B2B supply chain finance related market and a way to relatively easily capitalize it risk free.

The Problem:

My background is in supply chain development for small businesses where I find suppliers overseas and negotiate deals for US/ Canada small business buyers. The problem I noticed over about 15 years of doing this is that it’s basically unheard of to not have to pay up front for goods unless you are a large enterprise. Which is understandable because there is not much an overseas supply can do if a foreign buyer doesn’t pay. Where in the US for example, it’s standard practice to not charge B2B until 30 or more days after the customer receives the order.

The problem I am looking to solve is businesses have to pay up front if you buy inventory overseas. If you have ever managed an inventory based business, you know that cash flow is exceptionally hard to manage. It's a real problem that sinks a lot of businesses. (Reverse) Factoring is rarely used in these situations because the invoices generated don’t have credit terms in the first place to Factor. Sort of a chicken and the egg scenario.

The Solution:

I have already successfully tested my solution a few times with my existing Clients/ Suppliers and my own money. It went very well. We can talk in detail about that specific solution when the time comes. It’s the secret sauce. I will just say that I have zero risk, above average margins for the industry and am paid early in the process. It's also very scalable.

The opportunity:

There is literally hundreds of billions of dollars in annual global B2B transactions that are pre-paid. And basically no one is trying to capitalize on it currently. At least in the respect to the favorability to the parties involved. In my customer discovery so far, both parties are eager for this solution. Many I would call desperate. It can easily start small, but the limit is nearly exponential.

Where I am at:

I already have the domestic and foreign websites done. There wasn’t much for tech needed, so we can really hit the ground running. Not capital intensive as the source of capital used for the deals is already pretty well established. I have plenty of capital myself to fund the initial overhead. And with its structure, early self-funding should be relatively easy/ expected. Or at least easier than one might expect. The plan would be to be aggressive in scaling early with my budget, to show revenue growth. Then use that growth track record to raise capital that I will use to explode scale and establish dominance in the market before competitors catch on.

About you:

I just need help putting the last piece of the puzzle together. Which is basically hopping on the phone with certain professionals globally and understanding their needs. Not selling anything to them, just making sure they can provide what we need reliably as that last piece of the puzzle. Then expect to evolve into a CFO / Chief Revenue Officer role.

You should be someone who is/ has been professionally heavily involved in supply chain finance or international trade yourself in some way. Or a related field.
