Hey guys!

I’ve been working on a web app called CodeCafé—a collaborative, browser-based code editor inspired by VS Code and Replit, but with no downloads, no sign-up, and zero setup. You just open the link and start coding—together.

The frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and the backend runs on Java with Spring Boot, which handles real-time editing via WebSockets. For syncing changes, I’m using Redis along with a custom Operational Transformation system (no third-party librarie

I have trouble focusing, but this AI browser feature helps

My worst workday habit is that I’m a compulsive web page checker.

Throughout the day, I’m constantly refreshing the same handful of sites for updates. I’ll check the metrics on my newsletters, swing through a subreddit or two, and click through some tech news sites—and that’s before even getting to email and social media. Every time I do this, it’s hard to refocus.

So I was pretty eager

This is the future of AI, according to Nvidia

Recent breakthroughs in generative AI have centered largely on language and imagery—from chatbots that compose sonnets and analyze text to voice models that mimic human speech and tools that transform prompts into vivid artwork. Price increases are sending the tech industry towards oblivion

OPINION: No matter where you turn, price rises are an inescapable fact of life in 2025, affecting everything from food to petrol, energy rates and more, but the ones that constantly have my head spinning are those plaguing the tech industry. CMF Phone 2 Pro Review

I immediately fell in love with the CMF Phone 1 when it launched last year. It cost just over £200, but it was the polar opposite of everything else in the budget market. Cheap phones tend to be boring. The selling point is the price, and otherwise, brands are trying to cast a wide [...]

Show HN: My AI Native Resume

I've been deeply involved in working with AI agents and large language models (LLMs) for a while now. During a recent job search, I found myself repeatedly explaining my skills and experiences to various assistants. Around the same time, I was creating content for my website to help hiring teams understand my capabilities better and make informed decisions.

Ask HN: Hackathons feel fake now – anyone else noticing this?

Been going to a bunch of hackathons in SF lately and honestly, everything feels fake. There are like 20 sponsors handing out credits for their tools that all do the same thing. Half the time, they can’t even explain what they’re for. They’re just hoping someone uses them so they can count it as adoption. Everyone jams these into projects to check a box, and what gets built is mostly BS with zero innovation. Was it always like this and I'm noticing it now, or has something changed?
