‘Everything’s Computer’: How Trump’s Tesla bit sparked a meme frenzy

Around the country, Tesla owners are disguising their cars with fake badges and joining Facebook support groups as protests against Elon Musk, the electric vehicle maker’s CEO, intensify. To throw his support behind his DOGE administrator, Donald Trump hosted a Tesla car show on the White House lawn, reading from a literal Tesla sales pitch.

Before selecting a cherry red Model S, which retails for roughly $80,000, Trump took a tour of the Tesla. Sitting in the driver’s seat, looking at the dashboard, he delivered the annoyingly hilarious line: “Everything’s computer!”

The internet being the internet, jumped on it. Like Barron Trump’s viral “I like my soot-case” sound (which was inescapable online a few months ago) a new viral catchphrase was born.

A resurfaced clip reveals what Donald Trump REALLY thinks of his son Barron’s Slovenian accent. In a 2012 interview with Larry King, the president-elect revealed he thinks Barron’s accent is ‘great,’ and ‘anything he does is okay with me.’ 🎥 CNN Read the full story on DailyMail.com. #news #politics #trump #donaldtrump #barrontrump

“I hate this man so fucking much and I hate how goddamn funny he is. Constantly adding shit to my lexicon without my consent. Everything’s computer. Beautiful. Fuck you,” one X user posted in response to the clip.

“Unfortunately ‘wow . . . everything’s computer’ will probably be entering my lexicon now,” another wrote. “He’s unfortunately been on an incredible lexicon producing run over the last 12 months,” someone replied in the comments. “Man has a way with words,” they agreed.

Despite the current state of things, many chose to see the funny side. “The market may be in turmoil but at least we’re getting some good memes out of it all,” an X user responded to an image of a person kneeling before a computerized image of the puffy-faced JD Vance meme (try explaining this to someone six months ago).

Trump posted on TruthSocial on Tuesday morning that he would purchase a Tesla in support of Musk, with Tesla’s stock plummeting in recent weeks, losing more than half its value since December.

“The Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” the president wrote Tuesday.

During the press conference, Trump reinforced these statements saying: “We already know who some of them are. We’re going to catch them, and they’re bad guys.”
