Company acquisition questions

when a larger company acquires a branch of another company like a site they have, which stock usually goes up? the company buying or the company who’s site is being acquired?

I was just wondering because is it both companies that go up, or usually the acquiring goes down because they’ve just spent a lot of money acquiring, or is it that because they’ve acquired an asset they go up in price? or does the one being bought go up because it’s value now increas

I have a ~$20k Schwab account. $12k in treasuries, where to put the remaining $8k?

I am 23 working my first job after college. I’ve managed to build up ~$20k in a Schwab account. Threw ~$12k in treasuries when they were yielding like 5% back in March. How should I invest the remaining $8k?

Looking for any advice on how to invest what I have. Being so young I have a fairly high risk tolerance (especially when my portfolio is already generating 5% risk-free), but at the same time I’m not looking for gambles.

Dollar General ($DG) down bad today

I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to jump into DG for a while. They missed earnings by 1.87%, revenue by 1.39%, and slashed EPS from a forecast of 4-6% to flat to an 8% decrease. There is not much short interest (2.5%) and they’ve dropped to a 3 year low today.

Is this for s

Unleash your wealth potential: Discover two remarkable growth stocks poised for riches!

Growth stocks have borne the brunt of much of the volatility afflicting the market over the last year, as investors shied away from these businesses amid fears of a global recession. Uncertainty about the promise of the growth stories of many pandemic favorites has also been a factor here.
