Outside US, I am invested in my home country with currency X. Currency X is not a strong currency so I hedged my entire currency X portfolio using Forex Futures contract.
Now I have enough funds on my broker account. But still thought of margin call makes me very nervous.
Is there a margin-call free solution to hedge currency risk?

So the SEC voted to change settlement time from T+2 to T+1 beginning the end of May 2024.
I’m curious if the introduction of FedNow will eventually make settlement “instantaneous” or at least by EOD (T+0).
Any thoughts on this and it’s potential benefits/impacts?
I was speaking with my Congressman recently, and asked whether there were really 218 votes in the house to refuse to raise the debt ceiling and thereby tank the economy. His answer surprised me:
· He said, “no,” but that his fear was that there are only 10 votes needed in the House of Representatives to stop the debt ceiling from being raised.

One of the first stocks I ever invested in after a long gone coworker hyped the hell out of it. Now I only invest safely in index funds. UltraFlix still seems to be alive but the stock is flatlined. Do I just sell my couple thousand dollars worth and take my lesson on the chin?
Hi all,
Highly doubt the debt ceiling isn't raised in the next coming weeks based solely on the disastrous economic consequences this would have.
Would you expect SPY to see a bump on news that it's approved? Worth a few calls or better to stay away from potential volatility?

I just don’t really understand other nuances,
I own just about 50 shares of MMP a company that was just announced to be purchased by OKE another company I hold around 30 shares in. After the announcement OKE dropped about 10% and MMP rose about 15%. Would it be stupid for me to sell MMP and buy OKE at the discount? I don’t see any flaws in this logic but I also don’t know a-lot about the stock market. Does this make sense? Would it be dumb to do this? What should I do?
I have an etf that has activison in it. With the EU approving the deal for Microsoft to own it,what happens to the shares in the etf? Is it a direct payout since I’m an owner? Do the shares become Microsoft? Or does the fund just get a lump sum from the buyout?
