Any thoughts on buying Maersk as a canadian ?

Hi guys!

I really like Maersk and would like to buy shares from them, but i’m canadian. Any tips regarding that ? All that my broker seems to let me buy are OTC shares with low volume, so i’m unsure if I should buy or not.

Thoughts? Thank you !

FRC - possible scenarios

Basic question from a newcomer…I do not have any shares in FRC but curious as to what are the possible scenarios.

Is there any scenario that gives investors a return at this point? Or will all scenarios leave them with nothing?

WORST BEARMARKET IN OUR LIFETIME?

Is it coming or not, what you all think?

Jim Rogers is a clown who made billions together with George Soros, he is warning of inflation picking up with a vengeance from here and the market crashing as the Fed is forced to follow

Nasdaq is going to pull back early next week

It seems like nasdaq is going to have a pull back Monday/Tuesday as there was general weakness in the market last week and the nasdaq mainly went up because of mega tech—which beat expectations; however, those expectations were largely pretty low in the first place and it was expected that they were to be beaten. Moreover, tech right now seems to be overvalued, esp nvidia. Importantly, however, three important momentum in dictators all have bearish divergences:

Advice for the changing bags we hold

When a stock goes red we often hold the bag waiting for it to get back to zero (hopefully even some grains). This seems to be the common mentality. Wouldn’t it be a better idea to sell at a loss and put the funds into stocks performing better? Am I missing something where leaving it in the poorly performing stock is preferable?

I bought Google at the peak and despite some recent gains I’m still looking at -30%. Google’s performance before the big drop was

Stocks and Bonds/ Portfolio Diversification

I am younger(can’t say my age so this will post lol). Just started putting some money away to invest in a custodial account. Been doing as much research as I can and there is the 60/40 rule of stocks to bonds, as well as the rule where you subtract your age from 100-120 and that’s how you should diversify, but obviously if I do that a majority of my portfolio is going to be stocks. How do you recommend I build a strong portfolio? Also two other questions I’ve ha

What’s the general opinion of inverse leveraged ETFs?

I’m looking at DRV, which is an inverse 3x real estate ETF. I have a hard time imagining that real estate stocks will stay good for much longer, but obviously I could be wrong… does anyone else use these for short/medium term bets against certain sectors?

Fears of a hard-landing. Will the Fed over-tighten and make a policy mistake?

The current stated goal of the Fed is to defeat inflation with restrictive monetary policy. However, many are concerned that they will over-tighten. Given the "long and variable" lag of monetary policy, some believe they once again are behind the curve... but in the other direction.

According to this reasoning, they have already made a policy error and the economy will soon head to a tailspin, making a soft-landing all but impossible.

The VIX is near a low not seen since 2021 and am curious how should use this to trade?

The VIX is one of my favorite indicators of the heartbeat of the economy. The VIX is nearing a low 15 and this is not seen in history since October 2021. What happened in October 2021 is we had a short upward move of the market before we hit a high in the 3 stock market indices... Before we began trading deeply downward for the next many months.

If history shows us anything it is that we will probably see a short spurt in the market in the next few weeks
