Hi everyone, I’m a new investor and I’ve been offered a $33k loan interest-free by my new employer as a “welcome gift” per se. I have the option to repay it up to 60 months in small installments. If I choose to do this the monthly payment will be 7% of my income. Should I take this and dump it into index funds as a lump sum? Normally I would never consider doing this but since this is interest free is it a no brainer? Surely after 5 years I’ll have made profit i
Always wondering what screener criteria, all these 10k to 100k challenge, 100k to 1mn challenge folks are using to find ticker to trade ? One guy called OptionsBuffet trades live every morning, on twitter, for just 5-10 minutes and makes like 30k per day. And he seems to have very high winrate too. What gives ?
I work at a RE company and boss wants to hedge, he's a huge bear on commercial real estate but we own a bunch of it. So what do you buy that is inversely related to the value of office, retail, industrial? He's a bear on residential RE too but we don't own much of it.
I could short some REITs, but are there any that haven't already collapsed in value?

actually, it has never gone below $1.2 in the past 30 years, and we've had at least 5 spikes up past $5 since 2008, so it seems to spike every couple of years.

Hello fellow traders. I've found a great deal of use out of the stocks Schwab gives "A" equity ratings to. I looked on the Schwab website, but can't seem to find a list of all the stocks they have given an A to. If anyone can help me that would be great. Does anyone know where I could find a full current list of all the stocks Schwab has given an "A" equity rating to? Thanks in advance.
This example pertains to day trading and all of the following transactions occurred in the same trading day:
- Purchase ABC - 100 Shares @ $5 = $500
- Sell ABC - 100 Shares @ $4 = $400 (Realized Ordinary loss of $100)
ABC Stock then drops even further
- Purchase ABC - 100 Shares $ 2 = $200 (Triggering a wash sale and thus increasing the actual cost basis from $200 to $300 due to the $100 realized ordinary loss earlier in the day)
Future Economic Landscape
I believe that the world is heading to an inflationary regime (which can last decades). But that doesn’t mean it will be inflationary throughout, there will be periods of disinflation, deflation, and reinflation peppered within this inflationary regime, just like how we had a deflationary regime over the last four decades that was peppered with periods of disinflation, deflation, and reinflation.
So why are we he
I've been following the story about these regional banks that have been experiencing massive liquidity issues, specifically in relation to the HTM treasuries that caused this crunch. Bloomberg has been talking about yields dropping at the moment, while the fed is still projected to hold rates at 5+%.
My question is wouldn't a drop in yields be beneficial to the banks currently being punished by the market? My basic understanding is when yields ri
Hey folks,
I have a question, I have watched the Ferrari (RACE) stock for close to two years and at a minimum it hovers at a minimum 40 PE. It is currently at $270 USD which is a 50 PE. It’s dividend yield is tiny.
Why would anyone invest in a company like this when there are other strong brands with PEs in the 20s and 30s.
As an investor I want my money back over time, which investors are investing in a company like Ferrari and for what r
