$400 is the lowest I’ve ever seen for a new OLED gaming monitor… but that was before, well, everything going on right now. These days, the best you’ll find in the US is just under $500, which is right where this 27-inch AOC monitor is sitting. Amazon is selling it for $484.49, which is a good $200 below the going rate for a 1440p OLED.
We’ve featured the Agon PRO AG276QZD2 before and applauded its speedy 240Hz panel with 0.03ms response time, which should be plenty fast for competitive gamers even at its native 2560×1440 resolution. Naturally, it’s compatible with AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync, and you can spruce it up further with a VESA monitor arm if the basic one in the box isn’t to your liking.
It also packs four inputs (two HDMI, two DisplayPort), so it’s aces at handling different gaming devices like PCs and consoles… though with no USB-C video, it’s not the best companion for a gaming laptop. Hey, you gotta make cuts to get an OLED at a lower price, I suppose. At least it has a couple of USB-A ports for connecting some accessories.
This is a new (not refurbished) monitor, as you might sometimes see in this price range. Amazon isn’t showing this as a limited deal, so it might stick around for a while. That said, this particular model is one of the most frequently discounted, so it’ll probably be available again later. If you need an even better deal, check out PCWorld’s best monitor picks.
