This Snapdragon-powered Surface Laptop 7 runs forever. Now it’s just $599

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop series is, in many ways, the pure, platonic ideal of a modern laptop…but it sure ain’t cheap. Even its latest “budget” models have left a lot to be desired, starting with a lower price tag. But right now you can get a Surface Laptop 7 with a super-efficient Snapdragon processor for just $599 on eBay.

This is the 13.8-inch 2024 model, which uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus 10-core processor. The Arm processor design means that it’s not great for gaming…but does everything else really well, especially lasting forever and a day on battery. It’s also rocking a touchscreen, Windows Hello-compatible webcam, and 16GB of memory, which is the minimum I recommend for a Windows laptop, and an admittedly paltry 256GB of storage.

eBay is selling this Surface Laptop 7 as “eBay refurbished,” which means it should be in like-new condition and comes with a 2-year Allstate warranty. Despite being 40 percent off the list price, it is not part of the Memorial Day sale in the US, so it might stick around in terms of stock.
