Womens health stocks

Womens’ health is an underinvested segment that seems to be gaining some traction in last two years. With women delaying pregnancies and abortions becoming more difficult to access I want to dig into some long term bets ( 10-30 yr time horizon). Does anyone have a thesis in PGNY, DARE, Aspira or recommend I look into another company?

S&P500 long term investment, day trade short. Is this stupid?

So, I have savings / pension that are invested in ETF index trackers, mainly weighted to S&P500 as its the largest.

I'm also daytrading small amounts, mainly indices like the FTSE and S&P500, I may be going short on these depending on market.

Is this ok in theory? Seems a bit weird but I dunno.

The one question I do have about Cathie’s trades…

Cathie Wood gets a lot of criticism, some of it justified. (I wouldn’t want to hear my fund manager say they are guided by a religious deity, either.) That said, she has had plenty of victories, and she seems to have an explanation for her various investment decisions.

I’m not trying to start another Wood trash-fest, but I have noticed something a bit interesting: Some of Ark’s big moves seem to be delayed to an odd extent, and sometimes almost seem like

The Donald has called for Republicans to default on America’s debts unless major budget cuts are agreed to. Still, the market, being so stubborn, refuses to fall. Increasing cost basis to pay less tax?

Let’s say I bought a lot of shares of a stock that has since increased by a large amount. Would it be beneficial for me to buy additional shares while the stock price has increased in order to increase my cost basis, which in turn allows me to pay less taxes by reducing my capital gains? Or is it better to keep my cost basis low to have more of a profit?

Sorry for the wordy question but it has been something that I have been wondering. Any advice is appre
