Price differences in different exchanges

I understand somewhat why some companies have listings in multiple exchanges, but why do they have such drastic price differences.

An example is HSBC in the NYSE and the HKEX, the one of the NYSE is much higher, even when adjusted to either currency exchange.

Can someone explain this?

Stock futures fall as investors await closely followed inflation data: Live updates

Stock futures were under pressure Tuesday

can someone explain to me why holding a 3x leveraged stock long term is bad and can lead to losses?

i keep hearing that if you hold TQQQ or something similar for a long term hold you will lose money from volatility decay. so if i bought TQQQ say at $20… and held it for a couple of years and let’s say i sold it 5 years from now when it hit $30… would i not profit off that $10/share?

How do I sell my Series A?

So I worked for this company who is on the OTC. I helped them through some troubled times and was given ( a decent number) series A shares at $10 ea as a "bonus" to keep me on.

I was stoked as I really needed the money. I was told that after 6 months the stock would mature and I could cash out.

Fast forward 2 years and countless "well you can't cash them out yet because this and that", I'm unemployed.

The same co

on FX Evolution keeps saying "Central bank providing liquidity to keep the markets up". How does FED money get into the SPY/QQQ

how does FED providing money for regional banks make its way to the market? I thought the whole point of providing liquidity to the banks is so they have money for depositors, not to wildly speculate in the market

What are some of the coolest use cases you’ve come across?

What tools are you actually using to make your work easier?

For those of us who invest in startups: what areas of opportunity are you focused on?

I’ll start (has anyone come across companies working on the following problem set?):

An area I think has become much more important as the cost of developing apps comes down dramatically is cybersecurity.

Funding IRAs through selling covered calls

I left a job last year and rolled over both my Traditional & Roth IRAs. I’ve since bought Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Visa, Norvo Nordisk (NVO) stocks (among others) and have been able to write covered calls averaging about $300 a week in premium.

I look for CCs with at least one standard deviation from the current price or 85% likelihood of profit with a ~.2 Delta. I then buy 1-3 stock shares per week with the premium.

I’ve had a couple of CCs red

SP500 PEG Highest in Recent History (Excluding Covid Business Closures)

We are paying far more for earnings growth right now than we have at any other point in recent history (excluding the 2020 Covid outlier that saw businesses shuttered and earnings crater). The current PEG on SP500 is 1.9x. I'm amazed at how resilient the market is considering the poor outlook for the next year or two. Current forward PE multiple of 18-19x is the highest it was during the 2010s bull run despite much weaker earnings growth paired with 5% rates

What is UPST going nuts after hours?

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/upstart-announces-first-quarter-2023-200500411.html

UPST announced first quarter 2023 and at least in the overview I read, they weren’t good. Losses in revenue, conversion rate, income, etc. And it appears they are projecting losses for the next quarter as well.

Why is it up 40% AH?
