I will try to keep this brief, but would really love to have some conversations with others about my allocation because I keep thinking myself in circles.
Currently my portfolio is:
- Spy/Voo: 47%
- VXUS: 15%
- Target Date - 2055: 7%
- SCHD: 5%
- QQQ: 1%
- Individual Stocks: 23% (3% Appl, 3% MSFT, 3% CRM, 3% ABBV, 2% Cost, 2% UNH, 2% JPM, 2% BRK.B, 2% WMT)
Trillium Capital have offered to buy it out with what sound like some lenient terms included in terms of share rolling for large investors. Do we think this will go through? If no, why not? Offer at $10 per share. Current price $6.80 ish. Could be a decent long term swing trade if it goes through.
I’m not even sure if this is true, but can someone explain this to me? The argument being that there are too many put options, keeping the market “propped up.”
If the sentiment overall is bullish, buying pressure increases, and price action goes up.
If overall sentiment is bearish, buying pressure decreases, and so on…

Looking at the fundamentals for FOXA it doesn't make sense that 1 talking head could be a significant portion of multi billion dollar revenue TTM stream..

At $16, JWN seems cheap. It rarely goes below $15 and quite often will move above $20 and at times it makes big moves to $30. It’s only a few years ago that it was $40+.
I think bankruptcy is out of the question at this point. They survived the hard times of Covid and its aftermath. They’ve recently shut all stores in Canada and now are focusing on profitability in US stores. They recently added a Nike exec to the board.
