How to best allocate final 15% of my porfolio?

Hi there!

I will try to keep this brief, but would really love to have some conversations with others about my allocation because I keep thinking myself in circles.

Currently my portfolio is:

  • Spy/Voo: 47%
  • VXUS: 15%
  • Target Date - 2055: 7%
  • SCHD: 5%
  • QQQ: 1%
  • Individual Stocks: 23% (3% Appl, 3% MSFT, 3% CRM, 3% ABBV, 2% Cost, 2% UNH, 2% JPM, 2% BRK.B, 2% WMT)

Trillium Capital have offered to buy it out with what sound like some lenient terms included in terms of share rolling for large investors. Do we think this will go through? If no, why not? Offer at $10 per share. Current price $6.80 ish. Could be a decent long term swing trade if it goes through.

Explain the high volume put argument

I’m not even sure if this is true, but can someone explain this to me? The argument being that there are too many put options, keeping the market “propped up.”

If the sentiment overall is bullish, buying pressure increases, and price action goes up.

If overall sentiment is bearish, buying pressure decreases, and so on…

Am I wrong? This argument doesn’t seem to make sense to me. I’m also not insinuating that this rally has come because of thi

What is your best and worst investment?

Title. I’m curious to see what your best and worst investment/trades have been. What was the % or $ amount lost?

Mine was during summer of 21. I lost about $6,000 on one bad trade when I was learning the market.

The Federal Reserve will update markets on the amount of U.S. money supply on Tuesday, offering a crucial clue to the path of inflation and the central bank’s coming interest-rate decision.

Money supply, measured by M2, is an aggregate of currency, coins, and savings deposits held by banks, ba

Are lithium stocks a worthy investment? Any recommendations or information on this industry in general?

Looking around for new stocks to invest in, and lithium industry and peaked my interest. Know very little about the topic, but am doing a bit of research into a company called SGML as a possible entry into the industry.

Any feedback is appreciated.

FOXA dipped nearly 6% on news that Tucker Carlson has been axed. How much money does this stock possibly make due to 1 talking head? Revenue is 14.29B TTM!

Looking at the fundamentals for FOXA it doesn't make sense that 1 talking head could be a significant portion of multi billion dollar revenue TTM stream..

Judging by the numbers, the top 6 shows by fox news pull in similar ratings by carlson's show.

Also carlson took over for o'reilly and captured similar ratings, so whoever replaces carlson will do the same.

Basically th

Thoughts on JWN?

At $16, JWN seems cheap. It rarely goes below $15 and quite often will move above $20 and at times it makes big moves to $30. It’s only a few years ago that it was $40+.

I think bankruptcy is out of the question at this point. They survived the hard times of Covid and its aftermath. They’ve recently shut all stores in Canada and now are focusing on profitability in US stores. They recently added a Nike exec to the board.
