Thoughts on Shorting Berkshire Hathaway?

My thinking: Berkshire Hathaway is one of the most expensive stocks in the world. Warren Buffet is 92...meaning statistically bound to croak any day now. Part of the value of Berkshire Hathaway has to do with the Legend of Warren Buffet. When he dies, surely some of the legend of the stock dies as well.

That being said, easy to imagine the exact opposite happens. As some kind of rallying cry to save his legacy or something. BUT even if that happens you c

WWE & Endeavor deal as an IPO? How does that even work?

Just wondering how this deal is even supposed to work. I could understand combining the two companies etc. or post merger having a new ticker, but how do they have an IPO for the merger of two different companies without somehow diluting existing shareholders?

How does the WWE and Endeavor merger work with stocks?

Can someone explain mergers please? Looking at WWE and Endeavor stock

With the merger of WWE and Endeavor and potentially having WWE and UFC merged into its own entity, is anyone able to explain how this works? I saw both WWE and Endeavor stock is down today, if I was a believer in these companies - which one would I want to buy due to the merger? Thanks in advance!

Converting SPY to VOO?

Hey everyone, I am looking for some opinions/advise on my situation.

I am 26, and have a rollover IRA in Fidelity with about $15,000 invested in SPY. I was always told this is the smart ticker to put my money in, and did so without much thought or research. I have recently been doing more research and found VOO has basically all the same holdings as SPY, but is cheaper to buy into and has a lower expense ratio. Would it make sense long term to sell off m

If the US Government imposed a 100% ban on trade with China, how would that effevt the markets and which companies would be hit the hardest?

After learning the Chinese spy balloon could and probably transmitted information back to Beijing abaout top secret military sites, some are suggesting a 100% ban on trade with China. How would the markets react if this happened? Which companies would be hit the hardest? Would any get a boost from this?

JWN, KSS and M

When do you see these department store stocks going back up and if you had to pick one which one would you buy? While they historically move similarity, there are some noticeable differences between these three stocks in recent years. KSS almost experienced a takeover/buyout in 2021 but that didn’t happen and the stock has suffered a downturn since. M seems to be doing better since 2019 than the others. JWN is the wildcard which has Ryan Cohen on the team and al

Are the investors in Asia completely clueless about their own companies?

Nio announced 1Q deliveries on Saturday 1st April. It was not great but at least fell within their predictions. Nio is trading both in HK (under symbol 9866) and Singapore.

Investors had two days to digest the news and future prospects of the company (as CNBC articles write in similar situations) and the ones trading Asia market thought those numbers are very positive so price rose around 2%.

US market opened few hours later and investors (or trad

Discrepancy between volume shown in Time & Sales, vs Volume. Why would the combined volume in T&S be way less than Volume shown?

Good morning!

I've seen some stocks where Time and Sales often doesn't match up with the volume.

For example, I was looking at SOS, and as of about 10:07 EST it was showing ~3600 total volume. Yet, when I added up all the Time and Sales since 9:30 AM EST, that only added up to 672.

Including shown in premarket starting at 8AM, it would be 709.

Am I misunderstanding this? Shouldn't combined T&S = Volume?
