What are the differences between base NYSE data and NYSE ARCA data?

I am trying to figure out the difference between NYSE data and NYSE ARCA data, not the exchanges but the data, and I don’t seem to find a good link or description for it.

I have been using NYSE data and never noticed any issues (a friend has the ARCA feed), but we recently found a volume indicator behaving differently with the two feeds. After researching it somewhat I am even more confused, as both supposedly provide the same top-of-book information just

Sell in may and go away or keep invested?

Bought meta stock in the 90s last year and because of that I'm sitting at over 50% ytd gains this year. I've already locked in my meta gains when I sold in march, and I just have google and paypal long bets with some nvda short bets now in my trading account. Wondering if I should be happy with my gains and just liquidate my remaining holdings and chill for the rest of the year.

Things that worry me:

1) the stock market by and large (speci

Defunct company stocks?

Hello everyone, I found a deceased family member has some unclaimed stock in a company that is defunct. It was merged into Sinosite and then that was apparently merged into Sygenta. From my understanding sometimes defunct stocks can potentially have value if they were part of a merger (but generally seem to be worthless outside of collectors).

Is it worth pursuing the unclaimed stock..? (involves going back through quite a bit of paperwork, wills, death

Help me find a stock screener with SEC filling

Help me find a stock screener I forgot about.

So a few months ago I used a stock screener online and I just can’t remember it’s name. It looks like tradingview but it’s white and blue and on the left menu you can access all the SEC reports from the company and you can also lookup companies by marketcap or any other data that you want. The style and feel are really similar than tradingview or finviz but just can’t find it. It’s a clean website with modern

The secretive world of write offs

I've been wondering about this for a while. When companies buy one another, they obviously find "synergies" to lay off people and functions they don't need. But the big question I have is Write-Off's.

Traditionally you'd think about a write-off as something you bought but it is not worth as much as you bought it for. Here is where the question comes in. Why doesn't every company when they acquire another company write off a

SuperMario Bros Movie cascading stock effects?

No one knows the details of how much illumination, Nintendo, and Universal make each from the movie. Now that they said they are going to expand the movie universe….

Do you think that it will have any impact on:

  • Nintendo Stock: Owners of the IP, sales for more games, sales of more consoles, sales of 3rd party merchandise deals
  • Universal Studios: The studio behind it and also the theme parks (Super Mario World)
  • Comcast: Who
AT&T Turnaround Play?

AT&T has shocked investors when they posted revenues that are slightly below expectations, but FCF of $1bn has fallen short by $1.5bn, compared to $2.5bn of their projected estimates. Although management has assured investors that they are still on track of achieving the full year guidance, investors are still spooked by the sudden decline in quarterly estimates.

A silver lining is that AT&T’s wireless business has seen an increase in subscribers

How are trading algos actually programmed?

Does anyone actually know for sure how are the stock/crypto market trading algos programmed?

Do the traders/programmers set a general direction for algos like, ok we are in uptrend, so buy every dip? Or are they programmed to act at certain characteristic, say sell at reaching 21 weekly ema if 4h candle doesn't close above it? Are they completely independent or do humans often intervene adjusting the algo? and stuff like that, you get the gist...
