I got so incredibly lucky on CLOV

I got into the meme stocks like everyone did back in 2021 summer. I was following a high profile scam artist discord Chad (Atlas trading) who is now being investigated by the SEC for pump and dump schemes. Just some incredible stupid/shady stuff. But everyone was making money in GME so I thought to jump in.

I started loading up shared and ended up wtih around 6.5 K in value when CLOV was at 6.50 a share. (Down 35% or so). I kept telling myself that it ha

What are some common nuances retail investors overlook when researching stocks

Looking for tidbits of knowledge to help people (and myself) become more well rounded and educated investors, tips and tricks if you will.

For example, I learned a companies income can increase because they switched inventory costing from LIFO to FIFO, reducing COGS. Something like that may be easily overlooked by an untrained eye.

It can be company specific, like how some ev startups inflated pre-order numbers by accounting for “potential buyers”

For those who sell covered calls for income: How many weeks out do you sell covered calls?

I tend to sell calls one or two weeks out, at strike prices at around 3% to 5% over. The logic is that, well, if you’re gaining that much in a week or two, you should be very happy with yourself.

How many weeks out should you sell covered calls? A week or two like me? A month? More?

Index funds , Are there 'just index funds" or are they always ETF and/or Mutual?

Just kick me out if this is too stupid or not relevant. I 'm not well versed (at all) in investing. I currently own a bunch of Dimensional Mutual Funds. but I'm moving to Vanguard. I don't want Mutual or ETFS. Both seem to be loaded with a variety of fees. I want 'no load' and 'no transaction fees' index funds. Am I tripping on crack or is this a valid question?

How will the end of Title 42 make the U.S. labor market less tight?

Asking the question as an investor, not for politics. I was assuming the end of Title 42 will make it easier for more illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. and increase the U.S. labor pool particularly for blue collar jobs & entry-level jobs. Higher labor supply along with the fact that illegal immigrants tend to get paid less should stimulate competition with legal workers and drive wage inflation lower. Curious on your thoughts if you could add extra insigh

Screener for future revenue growth

Hi, is there any screener or API either paid or free that allows screening for companies by estimated future revenue growth(either from analysts or from the company's guidance)? On Yahoo finance you can see the analyst estimates, and they have some pre-configured screeners for growth stocks, but I am interested in something that would allow me to set the estimated revenue growth in specific range, for example 15-20%?

Besides Yahoo finance, does any ot

Opinions on Roku calls with an expiration date like two weeks out?

Roku seems to be very undervalued right now and after the dip yesterday seems like it might bounce back over the next two weeks. It seems to have a general pattern of bouncing back over the last three months once it hits that area of general resistance around 55.

Tesla keeps tweaking prices. Elon Musk has reasons

Elon Musk has said he’s willing to prioritize growth over profits. Contradictory as it may seem, Tesla is cutting its prices from a position of strength. With the exception of China’s BYD Co., no automaker is anywhere close to producing as many electric cars as Tesla. The company’s high production volume across just a handful of models means unmatched economies of scale. For details, you can see this link:

Stocks to hold long term for 2023

I’ve been investing in individual stocks for a bit but have been a bit more safe, investing most of my money in the large cap index fund FXAIX.
I’m currently holding shares in NDVA, TSLA, MSFT, AAPL, DOCU, and NET. Im wondering if anyone has any recs or advise on other companies to invest and just hold for several years. Thank you!
